Architecture nominee

Eighteen century.
Spain and Portugal are in trouble.
Portuguese government ordered a Holland arquitect to build an impregnable fortress.
His name was Wilhelm von Schaumburg-Lippe and he did.

The fortress is located in Elvas, considered the best fortified town in Europe,very close to the Spanish border.

The fortress has only one access same as the upper floor where the governor lived.It was bombed by Napoleon troops and by Spanish soldiers in several wars
nevertheless it was never taken by the enemy.
In 2O12 was classified as a UNESCO world heritage site.
Nowadays it has been restored,then,the fortress will not be possible to be depicted as it was.

Photographer mainly self-taught,
with quite a lot of dedication,patience and positive attitude.
Taking photographs is my means of expression in visual arts
even though I´m musician and percussion teacher.
