Conceptual nominee

Inspired by paintings on old and vintage vases, in this series the backdrop is a simplified design taken from an antique vase along with the flowers and props representing each country with a cat interacting in the theme.

Trained as a painter in the studio with a BA in fine art, I have shown in numerous exhibits and art competitions in California winning awards and earning 2 signature certificates from one California art organization and another from a national art organization. When I retired I purchased a digital camera and started to experiment with photography. I am mostly self taught and have taken some online classes. I started entering my work in photo competitions and my work has been shown in a number of international photo competitions with winning entries online and exhibited in galleries around the world. My photography has also been published in books and in PDN magazine and Rangefinder magazine with winning entries. I am continuing entering in competitions and earning awards with photos of my cats.
