Time Flies (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Follow a young, royal girl flying through her youth. From a toddler to a child, to a teenager until adulthood. Her most precious possessions stay with her and fly with her through time, as they get a different meaning to her while growing up. Follow her through the years. With this series I wanted to create my own fictional fairytale. A world where anything is possible and where you get lost into the fantasy when you look at it. A series where you will keep looking at.
I've created each picture of this series on the exact locations itself. In castles and mansions. It was a very big challenge but I loved every second of it!
Funny detail: the 'oldest' and 'youngest' model in the series are actual mother and daughter in real life :)

Hi! My name is Odile Aarts, I'm 19 years old and I have a heart filled with love for photography. What I love most about photography is the technique and de abillity to create the ideas from my mind. I do that combined with Photoshop. I like to create a picture with a touch of art. Something surreal or something different or striking. I've exhibited my Time Flies series at the expo for graduates from Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam, together with my classmates.
The series made the Semifinals in the ADAA twice, and got an Honourable Mention once. I'm really looking forward to see what Time Flies does in the Fine Art Photography Awards because I really tried to create a piece of art from my own imagination with Time Flies!
