While at first glance the Echoes series is about architecture, it actually goes deeper than this. It is a conceptual series about finding comfort in memories. I tried to create the feeling of something that is lost and out of reach – but not completely as there are shadows and reflections and persons leaving the frame, "Echoes", left to remind us of what was lost.
This submission contains 5 images of a which originally comprises 13 photographs, text and music which all in unison create the feeling I described. You can find the whole series on my website, but of course only the five photos I submitted here are relevant for the contest: http://www.chm-photography.com/blog/portfolios/echoes/
On my website, the series is rounded out with a quote from Theodor Adorno – "There is no love that is not an echo."
