Flat Reality (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Unlike the human eye, the camera reads and reproduces reality in a bidimensional manner and, only when light, the life of an image is present. This project is aimed to highlight this characteristic, through nearly depthless images and peculiar points of view obtained by leaving the camera aside and freezing instants of reality using a flat bed scanner.
AUTHOR
Danilo Redaelli always had a relationship with photography, both for professional purposes and personal interest.
Since the late sixties, he experimented new techniques for abstract photography, both in the shooting and developing phases of photographic production.
During the 80's, for professional reasons, he moved to urban and architectural photography. From here, a new research was born, aimed to deepen the knowledge about the relationship between "graphic trace" and reality. After teaching architecture at Politecnico di Milano for two decades, he now teaches at the Design School of the same institution.
