The silky flow and classic cut from vintage dresses inspire my artwork. I love the intricate lace work on a gown or a sleek simple style. I have a collection of vintage dresses ranging from the 50’s to early 70’s all from my days of volunteering at Oatlands historical plantation and my mother's closet. All the dresses have a unique style and have a vintage glamor. Glamor is not just achieved in what you wear, it is how you wear it. Attitude in fashion creates an iconic kind of flow to top off the perfect outfit. Vintage clothes tell a story and show a part of history. My portfolio explores fashion and how inner personality can shine through. The gold creates an accent to each picture to emphasize one's inner shine of goodness in them. Inside every person, there is a sense of golden kindness. People hide their true colors when they feel insecure in what they wear; however when people embrace their history and wear something that makes them happy, their true colors shine through. My portfolio incorporates part of my love for fashion and history. I want people to appreciate the elegance in an attitude embraced through clothes.
