Nature Finds A Way (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Despite man's constant attack on this planet, nature finds a way to carry on. In this image, the empty boat on the rocks represents humanity's demise and absence from this world. The whale in the dark ocean represents nature's survival and resilience. This is particularly poignant as whales and oceans have been the recipients of so much human abuse. I photographed the whale in this image in Canadian waters close to Vancouver Island in the Pacific Northwest where many species are facing extinction.
AUTHOR
Brian Rivera Uncapher is a U.S. based natural world photographer specializing in photographic techniques that include panning, long exposure/filter combinations, and subject/environment relationships. With a knack for understanding the technical details of why and how things work and then fine tuning those details into his art, Brian makes photographs that connect the viewer to the emotion of wildlife and the aesthetic of nature's biodiversity. Despite his travels to remote locations around the globe, Brian's work has leaned towards highlighting the rich biodiversity found in the North American continent and hopes his work will serve to highlight its beauty and urgent need for environmental conservation in a world where most species are racing extinction. Brian's compositions have been recognized by Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards as well as various other organizations, including the United Nation's Biodiversity Initiative, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Audubon Society, and the Alaska Wilderness League.
