Fine Art nominee

I was recently given an old slide projector along with hundreds of slides from someone's 1982 European vacation. I was not only intrigued by this European world (I have never visited), but also by the nostalgia of slide projection and the sense of place that is older than I am. This photography series is an exploration of self and place through an unknown's photography projected on my body and face. I am finding myself while giving new life to someone's old and forgotten work.

I am a long time writer and filmmaker and recently I have entered the world of photography. I am an avid street photographer and I enjoy exploring the themes of homelessness. I also dabble with experimental fine art photography and I love using long exposures and projection on my subjects. My dream is to one day earn a living as a fine art photographer and to explore the world doing it.
