Twisted and distorted these trees have survived a life of isolation in the Peak District, England. Every day is a struggle for survival.
The bleakness of the images is intended to give the viewer a sense of the isolation felt upon the moor at Owler Bar. When I took the photos it was snowing and visibility was very low. As I trudged across the moor to get to the trees there was only the sound of the wind and the biting cold.

My wife and I have four lovely children. I picked up a camera when our first born arrived to document his life. It was a Canon EOS 500 and used film. I was fascinated with photography and how I could capture the world around me. I have not looked back.
Today I am using Pentax equipment.
With a little more experience maybe I see life in a different way.
I capture the world I imagine around me.
To me this is an image.
