Landscape nominee

There is a quiet and compelling intimacy with nature found in the deepest corners of our British woodlands. These spaces you can often find close to home; hidden in a valley, between housing estates and of course in our great national parks. They are for me a constant source of inspiration and subject matter, for their subtle changing colours and light and rich natural textures. These images are a selection from my journeys deeper into the woods.

I'm an amateur photographer living in the west of Cornwall in the UK. I'm passionate about the natural landscape and coastline of this wild and beautiful part of the world. I'm drawn to rugged, wild and remote landscapes and look for the detail and complexity found in nature.
