Nature nominee

To be honest: this fly was annoying me. It was a summer day and somehow he came into my living room en kept flying around my head. Suddenly it sat down on the window and that's when I saw the advantage of it.
I've grabbed my camera with a old Nikon 50mm lens, wide open diafragma, and took a shot. The colours you see are from the flowers in my garden.
So, no..not a shot I've been planning. Just a moment of fame for this beautiful Robberfly! :-)

Wendy Drent (1985) is a dutch (nature) photographer.

She started taking photos after losing her job due to her nervous condition with chronic pain and PTSD in 2014.
An important moment in her life because she has regained her strength ever since.
