Water Trees
In wetlands and swamps, large trees emerge from the water. One can not see where they are connected to the earth. Sometimes rising from the water with a large based trunk that tapers at its top. Some grow additional roots like cypress knees to help anchor them to the soft, muddy soil giving them structural support and stability. These buttressed bases and a strong, intertwined root system allow them to resist very strong winds; even hurricanes rarely overturn them.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
My photography is a connection to my existence. I attempt to unobtrusively observe the interaction of people and nature to view life in its truest moments. I often rely on serendipitous moments. when I am photographing. waiting for the moment when everything comes together. Being behind a camera takes me to another place, it helps me really see.
I have taken photos for over 40 years, from film to digital, from wet darkroom to the digital darkroom of the computer.
I was born in Norfolk, Virginia and raised in small North Carolina towns, I currently live in Fayette County, Georgia.
