This visual poem explores the meaning of death in a public space, where the deceased’s last moment is commemorated by loved ones and left there for the rest of us to ponder and reflect. This series pays homage to the moment of death, of loss, of the end. These semi-permanent displays of public art-meets-funerary-rites snatch us from the mundane and remind us of the fleetingness of life.
