Going to the funeral of someone I loved was one of the most difficult things I have ever done. However, I know that many cultures do not see death as something to be afraid of, or something sad, just something that happens and we have to accept.
Building this scenario in miniature for me was the way to accept the fact that this person has gone. I took photos of the set, and I destroyed it, because in the end, what remains is the photograph, the image, not the places nor the moment itself. In life, what remains is the essence of those whose bodies are not longer with us.

Isabel Rosado Prieto (b. 1993, Málaga, Spain)
Graduated in Fine Arts in Málaga University in 2015.
