Open Theme nominee

My idea for my photo series was based off of a letter that was written by a couple in 1969, which I found in their abandoned home. Playing off of the letter I thought I'd dress my models in late 60's attire with antique props as if they were playing the role of the family which once lived. Making them look transparent pushed my idea that they weren't living even further. The feeling I had walking through the home was surreal, and all I could think was wow, only if walls could talk.. If Walls Could talk, what would they say about the people that lived here? I began to answer that question myself by recreating a life once lived by having my models do everyday activities in the home. For example, a young house wife reading a late sixties issue of seventeen magazine, while her husband enjoys a beverage beside her. If walls could talk, they would say how they missed his daily after work cigarette sparks, and now the smoke stains are all that's left to show for it. If walls could talk, they'd say how they missed the people that made this house, a home.
