Charcoal, also called as “Black Gold” was the main source of fuel in Malaysia since the turn of last century.

However, this trade is going to slow demise due to difficulty getting laborers to work at such dangerous, tough, dirty, high temperature and long working hours at charcoal factory. Until today, charcoal production in Malaysia are still done manually without any modern machineries, hence, labored intensified.

My assignment is to record how workers worked at charcoal factory at Matang, Perak, before this sunset business vanished forever.

I come from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
I have pick up photography as hobby in year 2013 when my friend Ujin introduced me to a DSLR camera. Since then, i have always been fascinated the power of images..
As a passionate amateur photographer, i always considered photography is a way to perpetuate a moment, with all the associated emotions and a way to share and spread my way of seeing the world through my camera.
I’m Interested in shooting peoples, landscape and street photography. My camera will be with me whenever i travel locally or others countries. For me, a good image tells a story, its will inspiring the spectator’s feeling and emotion and become curious to know more about the peoples, cultures or sceneries in different places, and i enjoyed every moment of photographing.
I have just started to enter few international photography competition in 2016 and i have been very fortunate to received some awards for my photos, this give me a very big encouragement to continue in my journey of photography.
