Portrait nominee

Somnium, latin for the dream. Also is the name of a 17th century book about an astronomer imagining what the earth looks like from the moon. This is an imaginative portrait of a man waking up with a moment of insight. I based the composition on classical painting ratios. No artificial lighting was used in the making of the photo to keep with the classical feel.

I work as a nurse in State College, PA. I am an amateur fine art photographer. I do hold a BA in Arts from Penn State University.
