Travel nominee

Armenia, landlocked by Iran, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan. No sea, just one lake. With a painful past with some neighbors, till now. This series represents a mix between my apprehensions that I had before to go, and my reality in this country, that has treated me very well.
It has the vocation to represent an emotion, and like every emotion, it is difficult to catch with words. Is it a good or a bad one? However, what is important is to feel, the ambiguity of this particular emotion.

When I was 21, a very old man offered me his analog camera just before to die. I was blessed to learn everything about this form of art, as an autodidact. I photograph to remember the other that I meet for a short or longer time and to help me to look my emotions straight in the eyes. Every travel, if it is in my own city or far away from home, this analog camera opens my perspective time after time. Till now.

Meanwhile, I have exhibited my work in Paris, Amsterdam and Kampala.
