"Sunset Bison": Mammoth Springs, Yellowstone National Park. During winter it's not unusual to find bison in or around the hot springs of the park. As I was photographing the springs I caught a glimpse of a small group of bison walking through a shallow pool. I was fortunate enough to capture the image of this solitary animal. The golden morning light adds to the magic of this moment.

After more than 30 years as a sculptor my artistic curiosity put a digital camera in my hands. Today, pixels light and shadows are the tools of my chosen media. Of the many genres of photography I have chosen Landscape as my primary target with Street and Travel a close second. It is not surprising that forms, volumes, light and texture are the guiding principles of my compositions. I tend to favor tightly arranged elements in my photographs, sometimes to the point of abstraction. Although relatively new to this art, I intent to carve my own niche in the competitive and forever evolving world of digital image making.
