Jaguars of the Pantanal (Series)
DESCRIPTION
These cats from the Pantanal Region are the largest of the jaguars, with lengths of about 9 feet and average weights between 200 and 300 pounds. They are designated as “Near Threatened’” with a rapidly declining population and habitat. It is funny situation when a group of photographers are watching one of these beautiful animals. This one was laying down under a tree and people would take a few pictures, and you could hear a few camera shutter clicks. But then the cat raises his head and looks at you and the shutters “ratatatat” sounds like machine gun fire, until his head goes down and then they trail off.
