Abstract nominee

Dancing started out as a photo of wooden fence panels. The knot in one of them looked like a bruised eye. I wanted to preserve that and also to do something else to the image, so I added layers and filters, especially oil paint and liquify. It was in liquify that my vision for the picture took shape. The "dancer" was pure serendipity. It popped out from the surrounding colors and all I had to do was shape it further :)
