Abstract nominee

As I continue my dalliance with blue flash bulbs, I decided to play with color a bit more and place the bulbs in a red crystal bowl. I shot with a macro lens and was able to capture the filaments inside. The resulting pictures remind me of shots I have seen taken in space, beautiful and ethereal color.

I fell in love with photography at age 8 when my father taught me how to use his Minolta Hi-Matic 7. Life took me in another direction, but I have come back to photography with renewed passion. I work with both digital and analog and hope to spend all my time behind the camera when I finally get to retire in a few years. In the mean time, I annoy everyone in everyday life by bringing my camera everywhere that I can.
