Abstract nominee

Inspired by the surrealistic concept of allowing the unconscious to express itself, this series uses patterns, shadows and textures digitally manipulated as to unveil the multilayered environment of human perception populated by strange beasts, half thoughts and half dreams. One often glimpses them on the verge of intuitive cognition but it is almost impossible to catch them.

Photography and other forms of visual art have been my lifelong passion. They give me the means for expressing the things that cannot be told. The main goal of my work is to show everyday things and sceneries in new light. I try to go under the surface of the ordinary, into the world of imagination and dreams. In my abstract artworks, inspired by impressionism and surrealism, I combine the techniques of kinetic photography with the possibilities of digital post processing to show the moment of instantaneous cognition, when deeper truths are glimpsed through the crevices in our consciousness.
