VENERA is a series of photograms that explore various forms of visual composition through the relation between light and shadow and its effect on textures and transparencies.
The way a simple textile fragment, when translated into light and shadow, become a new body was the main focus of the project. These fragments, when individually, approach almost celestial bodies.
VENERA is a visual study on the plasticity and subjectivity of the objects, in the perceptual distortion of the real.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Biography:
Judite Bettencourt Dores, 21 years old from Azores, Portugal.
Graduated in Sound and Image at the Superior School of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha.
Over time I felt in myself a need not only to explore different artistic areas but to cross them. Fascinated by the perception and diffraction of the real, the physical and the palpable, I explore the plasticity in photography, using analog and manual methods, working its texture as a physical object.
Exhibitions:
At the 14th of September 2017 opened my first authorial exhibition with my latest photographic work called Venera: Photograms at the Silver Arm Factory Gallery, Lisbon.
