Human Interaction with the elements of nature (Series)
DESCRIPTION
My series examines the concept of human interaction with the elements of nature; wind, earth, fire, and water. These elements are very prominent in people’s everyday lives. My primary focus is on how the different elements evoke emotion and mood among the models and viewers. I use make-up experimentation as well as different locations to help convey these moods. The overall mood I capture is created by the models’ reaction and interaction with their surroundings. . The elements are prominent in our everyday lives and we often interact with them. Image 2 is a representation of interaction with water. The model keeps her head emerged from the water. She appears to be strong, confident, and comfortable with her surroundings. The water in this image is peaceful, so much so that a reflection of her face is present. Dramatic makeup is used to convey this mood. In image 3, the element of fire is present. A cloud of red smoke is used to intrigue the viewer and provide contrast to the simplicity of the field and the white dress worn by the model. The woman is at peace when danger looms in the background. Movement is portrayed through her dress.
