Intoxicated (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Throughout my college career I was a partier. Two nights take shots, next day recover from a hangover, and during the week study. My alcohol abuse progressed and I almost dropped out of college as my mental and physical health deteriorated. My life arrived to the point in which I decided to change my path of self destructive behavior. I started going to Alcoholics Anonymous and a month after going there is when this photograph was born into existence. I was that drunk girl falling off a bar stool, another bottle of alcohol taunting me again and again. Today, I am in a better place. Everyone still has their struggles and I have photography to pull me through. I want to be a voice for others. To bring to light social issues in my fine art photography. There's nothing more rewarding than putting your work out there to make a profound difference in someone's life. Even if there is only one person. This is what I strive for. To be a beacon of hope for those who have no voice or don't know how to use it. Thank you.
