In the years after the first world war in Italy a tree was planted for every dead soldier, hundreds of public parks were born called Parks of Remembrance. They are always near or inside the city and have the duty not to forget. I imagined many hands hugging the trees, because every tree is a man and every man was a child. the Park of Remembrance is the house of memory, and we must take care of it.
The picture “I will take care of you” is part of a project much larger and almost concluded set in Italy, in the Marche region, in the Fermo city. In two years I have photographed with an artistic vision Roman Ruins, palaces, parks, museums, squares, theaters, churches, streets, setting different scenes in each location, in the search for a dialogue between the identity of the place and the idea I have of that place.
The result is a visionary journey out of time, within the walls of a thousand-year-old city, a fantastic Fermo, but no less true.
