DESCRIPTION
I was driving in Grand Teton as the Sun was setting after a long day of shooting. I casually looked to the right as I tried to merge lanes then I saw this stunning and breathtaking image. A mere ten seconds elapsed between the moment I noticed this beautiful visual to taking this shot. Right after I pressed the shutter, the perfect lighting conditions disappeared. What drew me to this image was the ephemeral qualities of the sprinklers being lit up by the descending sun. Together with the Teton mountain range, they created a beautiful backdrop to the horses.

Photography to me is the method to extract an object from its surrounding noise and to preserve it in its purest form. Without any form of external interference, such as preformed emotions, experiences, visual distortions, photographs accentuate the original and innocent state of being. The act of taking a photo disconnects the viewed object from the rapports it had built with the world, then presents it to the audience on a clean slate, pulling us closer to the crude core of subject in the photo. Photographs hence, give audience an isolated viewing experience that accentuates solely the visual channel.
