DESCRIPTION
This gem of a photo was captured in June of 2017 in the Grand Teton National Park as the sun was rising behind me. The light began to dance on the Teton mountain range at the Schwabachers Landing on a cool morning. My 77 year mother and I arrived at the location at 6:00 am and set up the tripod. My mother made the "camp coffee" and cooked breakfast for us from the Coleman camp stove. As I began a series of shots my mother called to me and reported that the "money shot" was down the trail about 100 years. Reluctantly I moved all my gear down to that exact spot where this image was captured. It is special in so many ways to me. Spending time with my mother made this photo priceless to me. I will never forget that morning. I present this photo in the Landscape photo competition with hopes it will win honors which I can dedicate to my dear mother. This photo was taken using an old 1970's tripod that barely worked and my Canon 80 D with the kit lens. Circular Polarizer lens.
