One of my most favourite locations to photograph, although I'm biased as its also my home the Scottish Highlands.
There's something very special to me in my heart, hard to explain its like something kick starts my imagination. I just find the light & play on the land very inspiring. Usually I explore the area with my family and take a picnic so I'm able to spend more time watching the magic & mood of this spectacular area. Its not always successful but thats the joy of landscape photography never knowing what you might take home.
I used my trusty Canon 5d mark iii, mostly in combination with Canon 16-35mm Lens on a Gitzo Tripod. One of my favourite tools for the job is a Lee Circular Polariser to help control with the bright sun rays, not forgetting the great contrast it brings by turning the dial, this is something I could never live without & can't be replicated well in post processing.
