Dare to Stand Out (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Give me a sea of Aster and I can shoot for hours. In my garden, it grows freely, the bees adore it, and the colour is a welcomed sight at the end of Summer when everything else is finished for the season. Nothing special was done to create this image. I simply immerse my camera among the blooms and shoot at an extremely shallow depth of field to isolate a single bloom from the crowd. The many blooms press against my lens and create a dreamy blur of colour, framing my subject.
AUTHOR
Whether capturing life's milestones, creating a piece of fantastical art, or admiring the way the raindrops fell on my garden, photography has always been a part of my life. Most of my time is spent with flowers or exploring the endless trails in the mountains and on the beaches of my home province of British Columbia, Canada. The natural surroundings provide limitless inspiration and motivation to create my art.
Many of my images feature on lamp post banners across my city and in the city's published calendars.
