The images I have chosen to submit come from my recent photo series; Peasholm. A collection of plant/nature focused images set in Peasholm Park, a Japanese-style landscaped park strangely located in a residential area in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, UK.
Originally constructed in 1911, the park became a popular venue for summer time galas and boating events, now used by local residents as a walk through/shortcut back home, going overlooked and unmaintained.
When planning my shoot to Peasholm I was expecting to focus more on the Japanese themed buildings and artificial structures, but instead I found myself drawn more to the nature and wildlife the park had to offer, choosing to highlight the mesmerising shapes, structures and colours it inhabits.
