Night Photography nominee

I have a particular interest in photographing urban scenes at night or in other low-light situations. This image was captured at one of my favorite locations, London's Southbank Theatre, where the Brutalist concrete architecture and variety of lighting offers many compositional opportunities.

I have been a keen photographer for 40 years, ever since I got the use of a Kodak Instamatic. For most of that 40 years I allowed work and the day-to-day needs of life to limit the depth of my development. Only now am I coming to understand what truly excites me.
