Nudes nominee

the old couch forms part of a series of images showing the conditions that Cuban men live in. I show them nude to show the contrast between their surroundings and their physical well being. Many of these men go to the gym, using bits of scrap metal as weights,etc and participate in sports as boxing. It is a n area where they can accomplish success and feel a sense of achievement in their lives.

My passion has aways been photography, but not my chosen career. I enjoyed working with colour and B&W film, processing and printing my images in my darkroom. I have had works displayed at several galleries. Most recent are the galleries close to home. Some have been selected for exhibits and some have been chosen for awards. My main focus is landscape, travel and people, especially the nude male figure. The switch to digit has been a challenge that I have accepted and appreciate.
