Anna Sterling has been involved in photography since she was a child and, as a self-taught artist, has developed her own style over the years. She focuses on self-portraits and sombre concept photography – especially digital outdoor photography in daylight. Through digital image processing, she transfoms concrete image ideas into unobtrusive, artistic compositions.
With her pictures, she tells stories whose depth is only revealed after looking at them several times.
The artist from Hamburg/Germany aims to give viewers plenty of leeway for interpretation, let them finish the stories themselves and thus motivate them to think outside the box.
