Street Photography nominee

Walking the streets around Havana, Cuba, I try to capture Cubans in parts of their daily lives, preferring the back streets of old Havana where there are usually no tourists to enter the image. I feel safe and welcoming by the majority of the subjects. Many times I am asked to take a picture of a local, with no asking for money or anything but an expression of thanks for taking their picture.

My passion has aways been photography, but not my chosen career. I enjoyed working with colour and B&W film, processing and printing my images in my darkroom. I have had works displayed at several galleries. Most recent are the galleries close to home. Some have been selected for exhibits and some have been chosen for awards. My main focus is landscape, travel and people, especially the nude male figure. The switch to digit has been a challenge that I have accepted and appreciate.
