I have visited Nepal during the month of November when the blue of the sky is so clear and cruel giving outline to bold and magnificent shape of Himalayas.
Walking through Kathmandu and Bhaktapur I was amazed by the numerous ethnic groups and the way Hindu and Buddhism religions have melted in this beautiful region under the shadow of the tallest mountains of our world.
The greatness of Himalayas, the beauty of lush hills underneath and the philosophy of the two religions may be the main contributors that gave shape to the simple and beautiful character of these people who salute by press one's palms together in front of the chest and saying Namaste ("I greet the god within you") and who place their heart above their head.
Both religions, Hindu and Buddhism, are based on the belief of reincarnation and successive higher lives with higher level of consciousness until the final goal, the enlightenment, is reached and rebirth cycle is interrupted. These beliefs are probably the foundation of Nepali people kindness, that they exhibit in daily activities, and proudness of being born in Nepal.
The deem the images uploaded to be representative for the daily life of Nepali people.
