DESCRIPTION
Camponotus cruentatus, Formicidae (Hymenoptera), major. Madrid (Spain), 11/2017. A common and one of the biggest species of ant throughout Europe, mainly with a Mediterranean distribution, it feeds mainly on sugary substances of aphids and insects. Probably the last individuals that we will see before hibernation. Shot with a Canon 7d mkII with a Canon MP-E65 lens.
