This image is a statement against what we define as beauty.
The black swan often over looked, as the white swan seems more beautiful this can be applied to many misconceptions in life.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I have had a passion for photography, and the arts from a young age. From chewing through disposable cameras to working in a photo-lab in my young adult life processing other people's images and being inspired by them.
My work has been featured several times with NZ renowned photographic magazine "D-Photo" receiving first place for a creative category in 2015 sigma D-photo competition followed by a digital online publication "Catching Up With The Winners A Year On", and this year honorable mention in the world renowned International Photography Awards for my self portrait "Inevitable Disappearance" and honourable mention in the 2017 photographer of the year for my abstract entry "Interpreting Beauty".
I exhibit permanently in Fine Arts Whanganui Gallery www.fineartswhanganui.com
Your can find more of my work www.alysdavidson.com
I feel my style of photography is emotional and thought provoking, I want people to get lost in my work. Art is so subjective, portraying beautiful stories & interpretations from both the artist's & the viewers perspective.
Fine Art Photography is an infinite genre and I look to explore facets in the field that have not been discovered before and continue to push the boundaries.
