"Triptych Stories" is a personal ongoing photography project started in 2017, creating a series of images in triptych-style presentation. Each triptych narrates a story on matters pertaining to biodiversity & environmental conservation. The project is an attempt to create awareness amongst viewers through images.
The first story in the series is titled 'Bookmark' - It's unfortunate but collectors all over the globe pay for butterflies that are smuggled in envelops through couriers and these end up in their collections as decorative wall pieces, used in making jewellery or as a bookmark.
Second story is titled 'Extinction' - Pollinators such as bees all across the globe are declining due to various factors, predominantly because of loss of habitat, over use of pesticides, air pollution etc. Pollinators help in plant reproduction. Their decline would result in decline in flowering plants and finally extinction of such species.
And the third one is titled ' Habitat loss' - Often EIA studies are ignored or norms are flouted to clear infrastructure projects under the pretext of development. While humans may get monetary compensation, the project-affected flora & fauna have no respite.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
An ardent nature lover, avid traveller & a passionate photographer. A marketing graduate & a certified project manager, professionally I'm committed to my family business. I started Photography few years back, what started as a weekend hobby has escalated in a strong passion.
I learn't my photography from Dr. Caesar's photography in 2013 and have been associated with Team DCP since.
Secured Licentiateship from the Royal Photographic Society, UK in June 2016.
I strongly feel nature & wildlife photography is not only about documenting the natural history moments but also about creating awareness & sensitivity towards conservation of environment & its biodiversity.
I wish to develop my body-of-work as a portfolio of Fine Art images to present an artistic impression, a visual stimulus for the viewers rather than photographic documentation of the subject.
"A keen student of photography, I’m still exploring the Art & love to experiment with new techniques"
