Almost nothing
Precarious shelters under windy skies /
houses with lives that shine for nobody /
Wounds from the time he left.
Do the human as if it were necessary /
lift walls / stack the firewood / close the windows /
take the chairs outside / and wait.
These photographs were taken in La Pampa and Patagonia. There, the environment - austere and rigorous - expands in horizons and skies. In that territory, what is built arises: human attempts to build, to point, to situate. But these images, one after the other, suggest the wreck of those worries.
Constructions threatened by time, shadow, oblivion. Paper boats adrift. Buildings and objects that, separated from the purpose for which they were made, exceed without meaning.
Posters that do not point, empty pools, carousels and dark castles, houses that sink. Something does not happen anymore. What exists appears as a spectrum. uman life is presented as a trace, a transient appearance, a trace in time, a mark of light.
Photographs digitally captured, between 2012 and 2017, revealed in black and white, printed in fine art.
