Landscape nominee

Reservoirs are places where present and past, life and death are mixed. In this series I focus my work on capturing images that show natural elements submerged for long years, which return to the light when the waters come down. I used the technique of long exposure to reflect the passage of time and to give the image a dreamlike, almost otherworldly atmosphere. I chose a minimalist composition in these photographs to convey the feeling of loneliness and silence. Rock formations, trees and stumps resurface like old ghosts of the valleys flooded by the waters.
