Walking through the "Lençóis Maranhenses" at night, with our path illuminated only by the moonlight was an incredible experience. I was flooded by the sensation of walking in a sci-fi movie setting while I was walking through the largest dune field in South America, almost the edge of the Amazon.
This photograph was taken around 10 pm, during a walk around the pond of the Swallows, I saw this formation and stopped to photograph, and at the same moment the clouds formed an eye round the Moon.
And when we swam in one of the lagoons at night, and lay in the water, with that starry sky and the moon rising to the horizon, I was sure that I was no longer here on Earth, at least in that second I was steeped in the stars.
