We walk into the woods, down to the river, to the summit of the mountain.
Each time these models stand before me with the engrained construct of beauty, their imperfections, the angles that they assume work best with their features.
These things are predictable. My response is "Forget everything you've been told is beautiful, and find comfort. Whatever that looks like, JUST DO IT."
And because we are together in these moments in the wild I do the same, get naked, comfortable and real.
Here we are presented with an opportunity to play in skin, with rolls, creases, cracks and holes. The idea is to find our ability to adapt to the basics once again. To forget and reinvent.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Raised in the mountains of Northern California, growing up, it was ritual to play deep in the forest, dance atop giant boulders, and make love in the river.
I found myself less enthralled with the surroundings, and more enchanted with how the naked bodies I had eyed my whole life, found themselves, recognized themselves and evolved when given permission in such safe environments.
I believe in the liberation that is allowed when we undress.
I aspire to provoke my viewers to question everything of their identities.
To convey what it feels like to love oneself.
The exploration of our fundamental physical existence is essential to understand sex, and our relation to the inner and outer world.
Photography has become my form of such explorations. I bridge both erotic and desexualized nude bodies on display in raw environments, lacking distractions.
I am currently in South East Asia, documenting the human form around the world and creating content for a book on masculinity, femininity, and fluidity between the two.
