Nudes nominee

A human being, according to Maslow, has an intrinsic need for warmth, shelter and food. Once these are met, more complex needs arise, including the need to be loved and accepted an a unique individual.

This series of nude images depicts the need to be fed, heard and noticed but which are not always met. The model is shown eating, playing music and her tattoos (unique identifying marks) are the only parts of the image that has color.

Stephen Power is an award-winning digital photographer and photography teacher based Ireland. He has 31 years experience as a published photographer and specialises in music, commercial, advertising and editorial photography.

Stephen won the 2007 NAPP Guru Award for photography and was awarded the trophy at the "Photoshop World" event, in Boston, USA. Also in 2007 the prestigious Association of Editorial Photographers of the UK & Ireland honoured Stephen Power with a "Showcase" of his work.
