Penan (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Now, their PENAN ancient traditional nomad lifestyle has been changing drastically as a lot of other places and culture happen in our modern technology world. Their huge anciant timber trees in rainforest have already been logged by logging company and the government for palm oil plantation. Their religion and name has been converted and changed to under Christianity.
I know some of people in developed country want to step their life up to modern but on the other hands, they are loosing their own culture. I wander if people like nomads do not
want to enjoy modern technology and lives. I wonder if I as a Japanese from one of the most developed country in the world have the rights to say they should keep their traditional lifestyle in deep jungle and avoid modern society. We know once human gets modern technology and sweetness of money, that modern culture would not stop invading their tradition so we know their tradition would be vanish soon or later. These days, their circumstance has been
changing quickly so they start to live as semi-nomad, got medical support from NGO, pray with a Christian father
