Treated with distrust and disgust by holiday makers, and despite living on the edge of society, they are seen as a close community sending their earnings to families in their home countries and they remain gentle and good humoured.

With twenty years experience as a multi-award winning editorial photographer with the London press. Since moving away from editorial work, I have concentrated on photographing specialist projects for example The Heritage Railways of the UK and Termini, allowing me to develop my love of photojournalism over time, building relationships with people that allow me to capture the heart of the subject. I combine these projects with landscape and fine art work
