Growing up in the Caribbean, our Grannies told fantastic stories of beings who roamed the night in search of naughty children, drunkards or foolhardy men. Evil was tangible as these beings lived amongst us as neighbors and bush folk or forest animals. Their powers to manipulate our fates drew shivers up our puerile backs. Not only the superstitious believed, we all have stories of adventures with things other-worldy.
Depicted here are three of the most common to many of the islands. Papa Bois-The Guardian of the Forest, Churile-The Forever Grieving Mother and Baccoo- The Granter of Wealth and Fortune.

I don't consider myself an artist but I am happiest while exploring my creative potential. I am still fairly new to photography and while I am building a business as a photographer I find creating fine art to be the most fulfilling. Quite a contradiction, I know.
