Sylvie Humbert discovers photography at the age of 15 with the photographs of Marianne Rosenstiehl and Jean Saudek, and begins the portraits with a 1974 Canon Tlb belonging to his father. At eighteen she attended a photo training in Paris conducted by Carlo Werner and learned the job in the largest Parisian photo studios. She then worked as an assistant photographer.
In 2003 she won the "Contest of Assistants" with her tribute series on Andy Warhol, and in 2004 she won the "Kodak talent scholarship" for her series "Au Saut du lit" which was exhibited at various festivals (Festival Photosoc Val d 'Oise, Le Mans Photographic Festival, Festival Circulations Paris ...)
