DESCRIPTION
His photographic work represents a minimalist and refined style, involving a certain amount of
stage combining aesthetics and graphics.
Fascinated by the body, she adapts according to the morphology of the model, an attitude, a
posture, a presence with abnormal gestures.
The series "Umbridge" goes beyond mere appearance to bring out everything that the subject refuses to
know and admit of his nature and personality but without claiming transparency
an analysis.
It also probes the impact produced by a strong external event, capable of
question self-image and relationship to others. This work, based on appearance and mystery,
aims to highlight the more or less conscious ambiguity of human nature, the
fragile balance between good and evil.
AUTHOR
Alexandra Laffitte born in 1982, is from Toulouse, she lives and works in Paris.
Passionate since childhood by artistic professions, she undertakes after a career
general education, training in pottery, especially ceramic decoration before
to move towards studies in the Visual Arts in Toulouse.
At the age of 20, she became an assistant in a photo lab for ten years.
In 2012, she resumed training in retraining at EFET School Paris where she will follow the cycle
complete three years.
In June 2015, Alexandra gets the CFE diploma from the school with a special mention for
its exhibition theme.
Since June 2015, Alexandra has multiplied publications, exhibitions and interviews in
magazines.
In 2015 and 2016, she was a finalist at the Picto Award for Young Fashion Photography,
which earned him a publication in the magazine "The Eye of Photography".
She won the 3rd prize at the Canson Art School Awards in March 2016.
His work was exhibited at the 59Rivoli Gallery in Paris.
Currently, Alexandra works as an assistant with various photographers and studios in order to enrich her knowledge and concretize her personal projects.
